Certificate in Facilitating Domestic Violence Intervention Programmes with Men
Starting Date: Wednesday 17th November 2021, 2.00 – 4.30pm
A Level 8, 10 Credits, Special Purpose Award, Accredited by Carlow Institute of TechnologyThis Accredited Training Programme will be delivered online on Wednesday afternoons and will also include 2 Residential Weekends (taking place in St Anne’s Retreat Centre in Portarlington).
This Training Programme will be of particular interest to anyone wishing to facilitate Domestic Violence Intervention Programmes provided by the organisations such as The Men’s Development Network (through its MEND Programme), Move Ireland or the North-East Domestic Violence Intervention Programme (NEDVIP).
The programme will also be of relevance to Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Mental Health Professionals and members of statutory and non-statutory agencies who have an interest in increasing their capacity to work with men, within the context of intimate partner violence, abuse, or coercively controlling behaviour as part of a coordinated community response to domestic violence in Ireland.
The training is supported by the Department of Justice.
